Calf Raise

This exercise only involves a movement in the ankle. Do not bounce during this exercise or bend at the knees. There is two different ways of doing calf exercise 1) strait leg 2) knee bent. This exercise can be done on a standing machine and leg press (as show here). Remember that the calf is a small muscle and the same weight you lift on a leg press should not be the same weight you lift on a calf raise. Muscle used gastrocnemius and Soleus

Step 1) put balls of feet on foot rest about just inside shoulder width apart. Keep back rested against back rest with head back.

Step3) lift weight by pointing your toes. Lower weights until you feel stretch in calf.
